The Question and Answer

The question of how to get people back into Shop Class and expose them to trades has been running through my head for years. Public Education moves at a glacial pace, so if it is going to happen, it has to be totally independent of the traditional school system.

My answer came in January of 2021, when I discovered the Titans of CNC Academy. Titan Gilroy and I are on the same MISSION:

• Bring American manufacturing jobs back

• Give people job skills so they can become independent

• Make America great again in the process

When I saw that Titan had created Small Groups within the Academy, I knew I had found an answer …

Titan’s online curriculum takes students a long way to learning CAD, CAM, and CNC. Yet students need access to CNC machine tools to ultimately complete the lessons. The parts students build are critical, as they become portfolio components to show employers what Academy graduates are capable of. The School of Shop has the machine tools and the access needed.
